Internationalisation

Personnel and students at LTH are today coming from all over the world, which is a natural and a positive consequence of the international character that most research and teaching has today. However, this means that everybody in the organisation does not speak Swedish and this makes it challenging for them to participate in decision making processes at the university, as these are usually in Swedish. For Dokt, this means that it can be hard to find student representatives for these bodies as well as making the anchoring processes a hassle as the documents are mostly written in Swedish. Therefore, Dokt should act proactively on raising the matter that all PhD students should be able to participate in decision making processes at the faculty, independent of native language.
